Exotic Bird Park

An exhibition of a collection of diverse birds from all around the world. 2Km

 A collection of some of the most beautiful birds of the word is found in Puyo; the fascinating bird zoo where you can learn about a great variety of species brought to Puyo from the furthest corners of the world.

The park has adequate facilities for the growth and wellbeing of the birds, and boasts a most pleasant series of pathways adorned with gardens full of wild plants. The park has over a hector of land and a collection of around 500 different birds from around the world.

Reserve ‘Hola Vida’ and viewpoint Indichuris

Reserve Hola Vida: In this reserve of the tropical humid forest you can hike to the waterfall of Chaman, en route there are explications of plants for food, hallucinogenic and poisonous; also the viewing of butterflies and insects and at the end of the route you can bathe in the refreshing waterfall which has a height of 30m.
Other activities are: traveling by canoe down the River Puyo, visiting the viewpoint of Indichuris and the accompanying indigenous Kichwa community, being welcomed by the native women of the tribe with chicha made with yucca and other cultural spectaculars.

Rescue center of Amazonian Flora 4 Km

Botanical Garden ‘Las Orquídeas’:
It is a space of conservation of Amazonian flora in which we can find various varieties of medicinal and ornamental plants and trees. It is situated in a rescued area that was used as pasture land, which today is a fountain of life in which we can find more than 350 species of orchids and a interpretive museum of the food chain, in which the insects bring balance to the ecosystem.

Plaza of the native nationalities and the tourist walk along the River Puyo

One of the characteristics that defines Puyo is the abundance of its resources, the flora, fauna and the scenery work together to give the attractive results of the riverfront and the plaza of the different nationalities, in which is the meeting point of residents and visitors alike that agree that this is the perfect place to explore, including the famous ‘Volqueterro’, a typical dish of our city.

Accompanying the plaza, we have the tourist walk, an ecological pathway of 2.5km, that follows the Banks of the river Puyo, in which you can explore on foot or by bicycle, seeing the natural environment and do activities such as swimming, bird watching and photography.
